Have a look at what else we do...
For several months now we have been demanding that the industry, i.e. the users of RFID
finance our work for privacy and civil rights by way of a "polluter pays" principle. Up to
now this has remained a demand unfulfilled. State organs do not support our work, just as
consumers' organisations, trade unions or data protection officials don't.
Therefore, we are dependent on donations
from you, the citizens concerned!
Whoever wants to support our work towards a broad discussion of RFID can do so in many ways:
Hardly anybody is fully informed about RFID, spychips, smart tags, green tags or whatever they may be called by whoever is talking about them. Speak about this new technology to friends and colleagues. Make them aware of the risks involved in RFID. Point to this web site (http://www.stoprfid.de) in the footers of your e-mails. Put this banner on your own home page and link it to our web site. If you have further ideas, please contact us under demo@foebud.org
While the Metro Group and other retailng giants have billions of turnover to back them on
their way to introduction of RFID, we are a small organisation of people working completely
on a voluntary basis. Even communication fees and travel expenses are mostly payed out of
the private purses of our members.
Perhaps you could support us with a donation?
You don't like clubbing? - Believe us: Neither do we!
And yet people of the most varied backgrounds and interests have come together in the FoeBuD e.V. in order to work actively for the protection of one of the highest goods we all possess: our personal privacy. And the more we are, the louder is our voice!
The members of the FoeBuD e.V. aren't all technology freaks and information engineers - on the contrary, most of our members are anything but! They come from a wide range of professions: kindergarten teachers, artists, journalists, artisans, taxi drivers... The FoeBuD e.V. is a colourful bunch of people who have at least one goal, apart from living their normal lives: to protect these lives from the clutches of those who misuse our personal data for their profit. And since such misuse is lurking just about anywhere, not all members of FoeBuD come from Bielefeld.
If you also, no matter where you live, no matter what you do for a living, want to work actively against every day data spies, become a member of FoeBuD e.V.!
